The next set of linkage data (set 19) for use in research studies is being made available as a phased release, with priority linkages being expedited to support COVID-19 research at this time. The set 19 ONS deaths data (to April 2020), HES APC (to end March 2020) and small area data are now available, for over 9 million CPRD GOLD and over 32 million CPRD Aurum patients.
Future releases of linked data will comprise quarterly updates of ONS deaths, HES APC and small area data to ensure timely availability of these key linkages to our research community. In addition, we are working to supply quarterly updates of COVID-19-specific datasets, including:
- PHE COVID-19 Hospitalisation in England Surveillance System (CHESS)
- PHE Second Generation Surveillance System (SGSS) COVID-19 positive virology test data
- Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre (ICNARC) data on COVID-19 intensive care admissions
The set 19 data for the other standard linkages listed on our linked data web page will be released over the coming months. The linked data webpage will detail the most up-to-date data available for each linked dataset.
