CPRD Ethnicity Records update
We are pleased to announce the launch of the latest CPRD Ethnicity Record algorithm derived datasets along with the September 2023 releases of CPRD GOLD and CPRD Aurum. The CPRD Ethnicity Record datasets are comprised of a single derived ethnicity category for each patient in CPRD GOLD and CPRD Aurum.
The Ethnicity Records draw ethnicity data from the primary care databases and, for linkage eligible patients, Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) datasets.
Reliable and accurate ethnicity data is essential to further understand ethnic inequalities in health and adapt health services to address the needs of underserved ethnic groups.
