DOIs for CPRD data

We’re pleased to announce that the monthly CPRD GOLD and CPRD Aurum database releases are now being assigned a digital object identifier (DOI).

This means that database versions can be cited in research findings. Details about the release will be available on the CPRD website

Using DOIs supports transparent, reproducible research and provides additional assurance of data provenance and data coverage.

DOIs will be included in the release notes and will link to information about the database version and how to cite the data. For example:

In future, if you are using CPRD data that has a DOI, please cite this in any publications.

If you have any questions please contact enquiries@cprd.com or visit the Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for datasets web page for further information.
