The latest set of linkage data is now available for use in research studies.
The set (set 21) contains an update of priority linkages to support COVID-19 research along with CPRD linked Second Generation Surveillance System (SGSS) COVID-19 positive virology test data and COVID-19 Hospitalisation in England Surveillance System (CHESS) hospitalisation and ICU/HDU data up to end September 2020.
ONS deaths data (up to 16 November 2020), HES APC (up to end October 2020) and small area data are also now available. The linkage data include 9,268,968 acceptable patients in the CPRD GOLD January 2021 build and 37,714,624 acceptable patients in the CPRD Aurum January 2021 build.
These linked datasets have been assigned a digital object identifier (DOI), to support transparent, reproducible research and provide additional assurance of data provenance and data coverage. Further information is available on the CPRD DOIs web page.
